In this talk, we explore the dynamic interplay between intuition and intelligence in the teachings of George Gurdjieff, a seminal figure in 20th-century Western mysticism. Gurdjieff challenged conventional understandings of the mind, proposing that human beings possess not one, but multiple centers of perception and knowing: intellectual, emotional, and instinctive. These centers must be harmonized through conscious work. Drawing on his system known as “The Fourth Way,” this talk will examine how Gurdjieff redefined intelligence as a process of inner alignment and self-remembering, and how intuition, often misunderstood as mere feeling, emerges as a refined, integrative form of perception. The presentation invites us to reflect on the nature of human potential, the limits of ordinary thinking, and the transformative power of conscious presence.
