Every culture expresses its beliefs and values through a system of signs and symbols. However, we don’t always know what stands behind these visual representations.
As we are approaching one of the most celebrated events in the world – Chinese New Year (also known as Lunar New Year), we would like to have a talk about Chinese symbols, especially those associated with the New Year festivities.
In collaboration with Confucius Institute for Business London, this celebratory event will unveil the history of some must-know Lunar New Year symbols, their history and impact on Chinese life and art. We will talk about most popular symbols decorating not only Chinese homes but also various venues around the world.
This event is based on our last year talk but it also contains fresh elements and perspectives.

The talk will be on Zoom, so if you join us on a mobile device (mobile phone or tablet) you will need to download the app (free) from the App Store / Google Play Store beforehand.
