Drawing parallels between the archetypes and symbols found in ancient myths and the techniques used by magicians to evoke wonder, this discussion will highlight how both myth and magic manipulate perception to convey deeper truths about the human experience. From the trickster figures in myth to the sleight-of-hand in stagecraft, this presentation will investigate how the psychological principles of awe and mystery are shared between these two disciplines. Come join us and explore a deeper understanding of the cultural and psychological impacts of myth and magic and their enduring role in shaping human consciousness.
