Many now acknowledge Andy Warhol as being one of the most radical artists of the 20th century: a rebel that had a vision to mass-produce art in a way that everyone could own an original painting. Choosing motifs from the everyday, like Soup Cans and Coca Cola Bottles, he dispelled pretentious notions of what art had to embody. However, his fame and success were not immediate and his rise from a poverty-stricken immigrant home in Pittsburgh to his status as New York celebrity socialite, wasn’t without its challenges. In this session discover the turbulent life story behind one of the most important American artists of all time, Andy Warhol.
