In collaboration with Book Club Bunch we are excited to announce our next poetry reading evening! Join us as we delve into literary works and enjoy masterpieces read out loud by amazing actors!
In February we will explore Memory and its impact on our identity and will discuss the following poems:
- ‘Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey’ (William Wordsworth)
- ‘Ozymandias’ (Percy Bysshe Shelley)
- ‘Remember’ (Cristina Rossetti)
- ‘Memory’ (Andrew Llloyd Webber)
Unlike other book clubs that expect participants to read in advance and prepare for the conversation, we welcome anyone to join the meeting without any preparation. You just have to be there and enjoy the finest works of poetry, read aloud by professional actors and English literature scholars. We will also allow sufficient time to discuss every poem in a group and reflect on how the ideas and emotions are emphasised by the power of language.
