Speaker: Lilly Markaki
Lilly Markaki is a Critical & Visual Studies scholar and cultural programmer based in London. Focusing on radical aesthetic practices, their research at present investigates speculative poetics/aesthetics and practices of (un)worlding. Lilly holds a PhD in Media Arts (RHUL, 2022) and an MLitt (Research) and B.A. (Hons) in Art History (University of Glasgow, 2013 & 2014). Among other things, they currently work as an Associate Lecturer at UAL and at Royal Holloway, University of London; and as a Researcher and Programme Curator at DEMO Moving Image Experimental Politics. Lilly also sustains an experimental radio practice as a resident of Movement Radio.
